¡¡¡¡Led by Mr. Wang Zude, the deputy director of Shanghai Arbitration
Commission, the Six-member Shanghai Arbitration Delegation attended the "Forum
of Economic and Trade of Shanghai in Coming Fifteen Years" held in Lyons France.
This Forum was held in honor of the 20th anniversary of the intercourse and
collaboration between Shanghai and Rhone---Alps District.
¡¡¡¡In the morning of September 18, Shanghai Arbitration Delegation attended
the opening ceremony of the economic and trade forum. Mr.¿ÀÄÉ, president of the
Parliament from Rhone---Alps District, France delivered a welcoming speech. Mr.
Feng Guoqin, deputy mayor of Shanghai Municipality, made a speech aimed at the
purport of the Forum. And thereafter, the participants from Shanghai and
Rhone---Alps District made speeches respectively on the economical parks and
commercial and business environment of Shanghai, introduction to World Expo¡¯2010
Shanghai, etc.. Among which, Mr. Wang Zude, the head of Shanghai Arbitration
Delegation, by delivering a speech themed "Mediation and Arbitration: An
Effective Way to Solve Sino-French Disputes over Commercial Affairs", introduced
"Shanghai ---Rhone-Alps Mediation Center" and the general institutional
situation and rules of Shanghai Arbitration Commission. Mr.¸Ê°ºÒã, the president of
"Shanghai ---Rhone-Alps Mediation Center" on the French side gave an
introduction to the operational situation of the mediation center after its
establishment.
¡¡¡¡In the afternoon of September 18, Shanghai Arbitration Delegation and Lyons
Industrial Mediation and Arbitration Center jointly held a round-table
conference themed "Regulation of Settling Disputes in China ". At the
conference, Mr. Wang Zude, the head of the delegation had a hot discussion with
the participants of the conference focusing on the points including the
regulations of solving disputes over economy and trade in China, the role and
method of arbitration and mediation in solution to economical disputes, how
arbitration protects business secrets, etc., and replied questions on matters
between China¡¯s law and arbitration and mediation raised by the participants of
the conference. |
