Imparting Arbitration Knowledge in Campus

¡¡¡¡In the morning of May 9, 2006, Chen Zhichun, the deputy director of the specialist consultative committee of Shanghai Arbitration Commission, was invited to Shanghai Jiaotong University as a part-time professor to impart arbitration knowledge to undergraduates and postgraduates under the theme of¡°The History of Arbitration¡±.

¡¡¡¡As one of the specific cooperation items between Shanghai Arbitration Commission and universities,¡°Arbitration Law¡±, as a course, is offered in Shanghai Jiaotong University with 56 class hours this year. Deputy director, Chen Zhichun is the first part-time professor teaching¡°Arbitration Law¡±in Jiaotong University Law School.

¡¡¡¡At present, the arbitration knowledge is only imparted in the course of International Economic Law in the teaching syllabus of most of the University Law Schools, which greatly involving International Commercial Arbitration and seldom referring to China¡¯s Arbitration System after the Reform. This very cooperation between Shanghai Arbitration Commission and Jiaotong University is a good trial that not only helps our future legal professionals to make an overall comprehension of arbitration system, but also promotes the studies on arbitration theories in and out of China in universities.
